If you've played Modern Warfare 2 for teh PC recently you couldn't have helped but notice at the amount of hacking going on within Iwnets matching service, almost every match ahs at least one aimboter or wall/location hacker some more are more onvious than others.
I cant help but feel this is a large slap in the face for Valves VAC secure system although Iwnet recently announced via Twitter http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo that 2500 where recently banned from steam, this is a mere drop in the ocean for the amount that cheat.
Galvaston340 a Moderator for callofdutyhacks.com stated in a recent post regarding the bans "If Bowling and the rest of the Infinity ward crew think that will stop the hackers then the lot of them are delusional. It was their asinine actions which caused the hackers in the first place, so banning a few isn’t going to stop the hacks.
They might stop a few kids who bought hacks, but not the people who wrote the hacks, as they are as smart at writing code as the steam people, and through IW actions regarding dedicated servers are fed up off, and aim to get even, its now a war of attrition between steam coders and thousands of hacker coders."

I cant but help agree with the statement from Galvaston340 its ultimately the actions of Infinity Ward and there bad choices in anti cheat method and ending dedicated servers that intimately led to this mass of hacking with MW2, with nothing running in the background scanning files and services running in the background there is no way to find a lot of these hacks as most of the hacks inject into the game at a point where the server does not see the injection of code and will be undetectable in many ways except for those who are bad enough to not be able or those who blatantly wall/location hack, these people will go unbanned and unmolested except maybe apart from the mic abuse they will receive at the end of the match from from the people they just slaughtered with the Tactical Nuke.
But perhaps if Infinity Ward Developers actually did some serious work perhaps other than lounging around with half naked laungerie models doin 'Interview'
perhaps something might get done, of course im not jealous at all...
If something was actually done and some other secure service was used this game would truly be awesome and the playability and enjoyment would last a lot longer, but if they don't I like many others are going to be more reluctant in buying another product from Infinity Ward!
